Henry
Flagler and His Wife, Mary Lily Kenan Flagler
Mr. Flagler was the Florida and Miami Developer
who graciously gave our church its first building
with manse.
The
photograph above shows the front of the pulpit from
our original church building which is preserved
in our chapel.
The phoenix (symbol of immortality) is by C.W. Dunn
who brought it from St. Augustine to carve it.
The table was the first communion table used by
the church, probably in the tent.
The communion set was donated by Dr. Faris' former
congregation in Hazlewood, Pennsylvania.
The table and the communion set are preserved in
our W.W. Faris Memorial Library.
