Sermons by Rev. Wayne Kirk

Our congregation's Installed Pastor is Reverend Wayne Daniel Kirk who has been recalled to Active Duty in the United States Army. Following a tour to Iraq in 2003 and a tour of duty in Ft. Dix, NJ July 1, 2007 -June 30, 2008; Pastor Kirk was again mobilized in July, 2008, to serve in Operation Enduring Freedom. Chaplain (Colonel) Kirk serves as Deputy Installation Chaplain at Fort Dix, New Jersey, where he performs a multitude of duties as a Chaplain in the US Army; preaching, teaching, counseling, mentoring, and providing religious support to the thousands of soldiers currently deploying into Iraq and Afghanistan. At Fort Dix, Chaplain Kirk serves with a team of highly trained Army chaplains who host reintegration training to soldiers just returning from combat and who face PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). In addition to these duties, he serves as Casualty Notification Officer (in the New York metropolitan area) to soldiers who have fallen in battle. Chaplain Kirk returns twice monthly to First Presbyterian Church (Miami) to preach, teach, moderate Session, and perform weddings. We ask you to daily pray for all the military chaplains throughout the world and the brave soldiers they serve. .
