Reverend Wayne Daniel Kirk...
Reverend Wayne Daniel Kirk was installed as Pastor for The First Presbyterian Church of Miami on June 11, 2006.
He and his wife, Linda, came to South Florida in the year 2004, after Reverend Kirk was released from Active Duty having served in "Operation Iraqi Freedom" in Kuwait and Iraq as a Chaplain in the United States Army.
Reverend Kirk has served over 23 years as a Chaplain (COLONEL) in The Army Reserve having been deployed to El Salvador as Task Force Chaplain of Operation New Horizon/ Morazán (2006) and most recently to Fort Dix, New Jersey, as Mobilization Chaplain in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He has also served churches in Texas, Illinois, and Florida since 1975. Born in Kansas City, Missouri. Pastor Kirk was educated at Illinois Wesleyan University, B.A. (cum laude); Southern Methodist University, Perkins School of Theology, M.TH.; and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He taught at Lewis University (Chicago) "History of Christianity" for 12 years.
Reverend Kirk has also served as a Hospice Chaplain for two years in the Fort Lauderdale area before coming to First Church.
The Kirks have 6 children and 2 grandchildren. They enjoy traveling, sailing, gardening and close friends.

Chaplain Kirk served as Joint Task Force Chaplain for "Operation New Horizon / 2006" in the Morazán province of El Salvador in the spring of 2006. Here he is leading worship and Bible Study for US Army soldiers. They also drilled six wells and offered six different METRET (Medical Clinics) and VETRET (Veterinary Clinics) to people in the remote sections of El Salvador.
