Congratulations upon your desire to have a wedding in the church! The Session would like to express the hope that God will guide, bless and enrich you with every spiritual blessing. 
 
We commend the desire on your part to have your wedding in the church, believing that a Christian atmosphere plays an important part in your marriage. We believe it is not wise to make a church wedding an extravagant social event. We discourage weddings involving great expenditures, especially if they involve a burden of indebtedness to the newlyweds and/or to their parents

The Session affirms the marriage policy practiced in this church:

• All brides and grooms must be confessing Christians with a desire to produce a Christian home and thus honor the biblical doctrine of the sanctity of marriage.
• All marriage services on church premises are individually approved by the Session. Non-members are not encouraged to plan their wedding here unless there are special ties to the church through family or pastoral staff.
• All brides and grooms are to receive marriage counseling by the Pastor on the church staff or with the approval of the Pastor.
• Ministers not on the staff of this church officiating or assisting at a marriage service must be approved by the Session and the Pastor.
